How fast can you actually be here?
Across our core service area of Prince William, Fairfax and Arlington, we target 60 minutes. During a regional freeze or storm event, when everyone's pipes go at once, it will be longer and we'll tell you honestly what the real window is when you call rather than promising something we can't hold.
Will my homeowner's insurance cover this?
If the water was sudden and accidental, say a pipe let go, an appliance failed or a toilet overflowed, then usually yes, subject to your policy and deductible. Gradual leaks you were aware of and surface or groundwater flooding usually are not, unless you carry separate flood coverage. We'll give you our honest read before you file, because a denied claim helps nobody.
What does it cost just to have someone look?
Nothing. The estimate is free and there's no obligation attached to it. We'd rather come out, meter it, and tell you it's minor than have you find out in three weeks that it wasn't.
Do I have to use the company my insurer recommends?
No. Your carrier may suggest a preferred vendor, but the choice of restoration contractor is yours. We work with every major carrier and bill them directly either way.
How long does the drying take?
A typical residential water loss dries in about three days, though it depends on how much water there was, what materials got wet, and how quickly we started. We meter daily and pull the equipment when the readings say it's dry, not on a fixed schedule.
Do we need to move out?
Usually not. Most jobs are contained to the affected rooms and you can stay in the house with the equipment running. Sewage losses and large-scale demolition are the exceptions, and we'll say so on the first visit rather than the third.
